Isaiah E. Williams is the Film & Video Equipment Coordinator for the department, overseeing the daily operations of the department's Equipment Cage while leading a team of student equipment technicians. He supports students and faculty in the use of the department’s production resources while managing equipment checkouts and returns, inventory, and maintenance.
Prior to joining Ohio State, Williams worked at Keslow Camera - Atlanta, where he gained professional experience supporting large-scale film and television productions. Working with high-end cinema equipment and production crews, he developed firsthand knowledge of the professional camera rental industry and the equipment, workflows, and standards required to support complex productions.
Williams also worked as a Filmmaker at Vineyard Columbus, where he produced digital content for a new online platform and helped coordinate live multi-cam productions.
Williams gained early experience in equipment management as a Student Equipment Cage Tech at Cleveland State University’s School of Film & Media Arts and the Savannah College of Art and Design. These roles provided hands-on experience with equipment checkout, inventory, and production resources while giving him firsthand perspective on the needs and challenges student filmmakers encounter.
As a cinematographer and photographer, Williams continues to work across a range of production and visual disciplines. His personal creative work includes landscape, nature, and urban photography.
Williams is passionate about creating well-organized and accessible equipment resources that help students get the most out of their education. He looks forward to supporting students and faculty by contributing his professional production and equipment-management experience to Ohio State.
